Rebellion

Kookai top, necklace and beanie, Stylestalker rebellion parka, sass and bide tights, mimco brogues, tom ford sunglasses

Finally got around to getting the rebellion parka for myself and let me tell you.. I'm definitely loving the versatility of turning it from a jacket to a vest. Admittedly it still isn't cold enough to wear a jacket like it but luckily taking the arms off made things a lot better.

My boyfriend sported the arms quite well whilst taking my photos..

I put this outfit together 10 minutes before work and hoped that the blood orange would look good with the royal blue and strangely enough I thought they went rather well with each other.

Catherine Hill Beach

Sass and Bide dress and belt, Zimmermann clutch, Mimco necklace and earrings, Tom Ford sunglasses

Taken on a recent little road trip up the coast to Terrigal and Catherine Hill Bay for the day.. great weather in the morning and couldn't resist attempting some baywatch shots. This dress is definitely not for the faint hearted.. there were several indecent shots of me because the cut of the dress in the front is rather short but nevertheless it is still such a cute, colourful little piece to have in my wardrobe.

The clutch was gifted by one of my close friends and I have never found the right occasion to whip it out because it sends mixed signals; the straw suggests beach bag but the size and style suggests going out...

Lipsy Dresses

If there’s one brand that is always top of the fashion table in the glamour stakes, it’s Lipsy. Lipsy dresses are all about making a statement, having fun and working your best assets to the max – whether it’s long legs or a teeny tiny waist. Fabrics are always fun and flirty with Lipsy dresses, featuring lots of satin and floaty chiffon. Detail is also a key feature and many of the designs focus on pretty jewelled embellishments around the neckline or hem.

Thanks to all of the above, Lipsy dresses have become a firm favourite with celebs, and the bright young things of music, TV and film are often papped at events wearing the latest stunning creation from the brand. If you’re looking for a special occasion dress that you’ll feel a million dollars in, then Lipsy should definitely be on your list.

This season, bodycon is big news once again at Lipsy with bright bold colours replacing the more traditional black as the colour palette of choice. Floral patterns are also bigger and brighter than ever, with the focus more on tropical-style prints rather than smaller ditzy florals.

Nudes and pale pinks are also really making their presence felt in the prom dress department. These colours look fantastic on blondes or brunettes but aren’t
such a good look on red heads, so if you’re channelling your inner Florence
Welch, it might be a good idea to stick to the punchier shades rather than the nude palette.

The great thing about Lipsy is that the range caters for all shapes and sizes, so you’re bound to find something that suits your figure. If you’ve got an hour glass figure, opt for a dress that is nipped in at the waist and flares out at the hips, accentuating your best bits.

If you’re confident you can pull off the bodycon look, then embrace it 100% and accessorise with killer heels and bold makeup. And, if you’re looking for something a little more demure but no less stunning, then try a Lipsy shift dress. Take a look at some of the Lipsy prom dresses at Very and decide what type of Lipsy girl you are!
