Bardot top, lee shorts, nine west heels, oroton bag, vintage necklace, rayban wayfarers, sportscraft scarf
met up with my friend Ellie yesterday and decided to take some photos at Darling Harbour. it was such a good day and great blue skies in Sydney. we went shopping afterwards to help me find summer maxi dresses. wasn't too successful but i did find something else that ive had my eye out for. ended up buying a black maxi jumpsuit.. similar to one that I saw on Alessandra Ambriosa in a magazine not long ago.

they say she needs to slow down..

Apologies to everyone for my hiatus.. I've had quite the hectic weekend.. so a quick recap.. on friday it was Conception day at our uni which is pretty much a music festival sort of environment where there's an abundance of alcohol, music and sunshine. At some point I remember drinking punch out of a huge plastic container.. with bits of leaves and sticks; despite the organic nature of the punch it was really the best punch I had ever tasted. It was quite an eventful day and I don't think I'll be able to recall everything with detail but all you guys need to know is that I had a blast. However, being drunk so early during the day really takes its toll on your body.. felt very dehydrated by the end of it..

On saturday went to Oxford St with Mateusz for a lil shopping.. scored myself a new cross necklace much like the one worn by Rumi and Lulu from La Dama except mine is not woven.. instead its wood. Bought a few basic tops and this divine body cream from Charlie Brown. Managed to convince my friend to also buy one for himself as well as the coconut lime candle.

On sunday I ran my half marathon that I've been training for.. my friend Mateusz and I ran it in... wait for it...
1hr 59min 31sec
JUST under the original goal of mine of running it in under 2 hours haha.. pretty good aye? but this did come at a cost.. I had hideous red blisters all over my feet.. what an image.

Don't have any new outfit posts however my mate Joey has demonstrated his magical skills with photography and I thought I would share that with everyone.. and of course a few photos of my epic conception day.

On a completely different note, for those of you who don't live in Sydney.. we had quite an interesting Wednesday morning.. woke up at 7am and the sky was orange. It was like a fanta coloured fog had emersed the city.. the earth looks like its on fire..

frenzy

vintage shorts, bardot top, mimco beanie and scarf, diva bracelets, george jenson necklace, rayban way

I've been on a mad shopping frenzy these past few days.. shopping with my mum, grandma and auntie from China. Mum's been spoiling me with new shoes, new accessories, and a new boyfriend blazer. On top of that.. I've got a few other lil bits and pieces here and there too =D

Also bought this new white bardot top I'm wearing in the pics.. I find that a girl can never have enough loose fitting, comfortable white shirts.. I think majority of my wardrobe is overflowing with various versions of what I'm wearing..

The new nine west heels are quite comfortable.. the heel looks like a bit of a shocker but it has a comfortable platform and the soles have great padding.. they are feet-friendly.

Now, the handsome lad in the pictures sporting my very comfy sheepskin slippers is my uncle. Yes, that's right. He's my 22 yr old uncle.. Chinese family trees are weird.. but if you work your way down the labyrythine Chik family tree.. it works out that he is my uncle.. What's even more funny is hearing him call my dad big brother...Unfortunately, he's returning to Shanghai tomorrow and I'm a bit bummed about that.. but I figured I'll pay him and that beautiful city a visit very soon.

Also would like to share with Sydney bloggers that there is a
Kirrily Johnston sample sale on this week. On Friday and Saturday the 18th and 19th respectively.

Where:
Level 3, Suite 7, 21 Mary Street
Surry Hills NSW

Times: Friday 18th: 8am - 7pm
Saturday 19th: 10am - 4pm

Not sure as to whether I'll be attending this sale yet as I have Conception Day on Friday which is pretty much a day to recognise the birthday of Macquarie University, where students are free to get drunk and party to their hearts desire whilst listening to a range of live performances.. one of which includes Wolf Mother.. I'm not a big fan.. but I here it's a pretty big deal for some people to be there till they perform.
