The run of good weather has not stopped and I decided to take advantage of it with the help of my good friend Nick who I semi-forced to become a part-time photographer for me haha.. we found a nice little spot on campus with a great view and lots of grass area so we could soak in the glorious sun. Clearly we have an addiction to vitamin D. Spring is just around the corner.. only a few more hours and I could not be more thrilled.

So I decided to wear a necklace that my dad purchased for me a few years back which has a horse inside (representing my chinese zodiac) that spins around when you move. I forgot how much that necklace use to amuse me...

My boyfriend gets back on Thursday and I'm so excited... 6 weeks is quite a long time to be away from your other half...

It's been one hell of a day today for me. Had uni at 1pm but managed to snap some shots before I left of me in the RVCA tank dress.The transparentness of the dress was a lil too rich for me so I wore a slip underneathe it. I also borrowed my boyfriends G-star checked shirt which seems to fit me quite well =D I also fished out this dog tag that I bought when I was in high school on exchange in Japan.

I also got a casting call from my agency for a korean Samsung advertisement.. although I was under the impression that it was a still photo advertisement and not a television one. So I rocked up there and I found people wearing a pig's snout and pretending to act with it on. My heart pretty much immediately sank... I really don't like public speaking in front of strangers but I just had to suck it up. Koreans really do have a strange sense of humour. I was asked to wear the pig's snout and make it funny.. I think the pig snout pretty much spoke for itself don't you?

Not sure how I went.. I guess the experience was interesting nonetheless...

So I rushed back home to go to the gym and spent about 2 hours training. Less than a month until the Blackmore's half marathon run.

oh and the boy gets back in one weeks time! I'm so excited! he's currently playing in the APPT in Macau.. very proud of his progress =D look for Kristoffer Myhre

So I had a long day at uni and managed to muster up the energy to take a few snaps of what I was sporting around the campus all day. The weather man has fooled me once again.. saying that it was going to be 27 degrees but it was hardly that.. more like 20 degrees but luckily I didn't freeze in my Alice McCall jumpsuit.

This jumpsuit is just so light and comfortable.. although the only con I can think of about them is the inconvenience it causes when you need to use the ladies room. Haha.. it's quite bothersome in those situations; but other than that.. I just love jumpsuits.

The heels I'm wearing use to belong to my mom and now I'm wearing it as she doesn't fit the shoes anymore so I've adopted them. They're really quite comfortable to walk in.. could probably walk all day in them.

I've been lacking inspiration lately.. however I have been finding myself wearing shorts and t-shirts with no jacket which only means one thing! Spring is coming and I think it's come early this year. The weather has been so great that it's put me in a better mood.

I was really proud with the new colour microshadow I picked out last friday. So proud I had to take a photo to show everyone. It's the lighter colour; a silvery blue.

So my little brother went on his first camping trip to the snow with his school and he thought it'd be appropriate to bring his wonderful big sister a gift back and no one else in the family. I feel very touched.

So I've been following a lot of blogs lately and I find myself always interested in what the do for a living and what their lives are like outside of this virtual world. So I thought I'd write a bit about myself:

• my full name is Helen Chik (notice my URL.. clever huh? *sarcasm*)
• I was born in Australia but my family is from Shanghai
• 19 years young
  
• I'm currently a second year student in uni; studying Actuarial Studies (I linked actuarial because most people don't know what the word means)
  
• I'm 173cm which I believe is 5'7" but converting measurements always confuses me so correct me if I'm wrong
• I practically live at the gym and probably spend 2 hours there every day
• shopping is my vice
• my favourite colours are lime green and purple (some might say they're the gay colours but rest assured, I am straight =D)
  
• I'm extremely OCD and have weird habits.. just typical girly control freak behaviour
• I hate it when people are late. Ergo, I like to arrive 20 minutes early for everything
• I love Japanese and Italian food

So I met up with my friend Ellie today before heading to uni. It was fun just sitting in a cafe and talking about nothing of importance. Finally got a chance to use my new bag..although I have to say that using a bag like this on a uni day is not wise. The books just weigh it down and end up killing your wrist.

It was such good weather today that I didn't even have to wear a jacket.

Ended up buying a straw fedora I've had my eye on for a while and another microshadow from the Makeup Store to add to my ever growing collection of makeup.

I've realized that my backyard makes a great location for photos; so much greenery and random junk. Grandma had a lot of fun directing me in the photos.
