Just a Day, Just an Ordinary Day.

So the best friend and I went out last night into town for dinner. The great thing about us is that even though we don't get to see each other often because we live on separate ends of Sydney, the distance doesn't affect our friendship at all. We always have so much to talk about. I'm always in high spirits after spending a night with my bestie.

I decided to try out the vintage jacket i fished out of mums closet that she doesn't fit anymore. I have to say it turned quite a few heads in the city, I think it was because you really don't find jackets like that anymore. Not even in vintage stores. Or maybe it was because I was wearing boots with huge heels which made me look like a bit of a giant. Who knows..

Vintage Treasures

I'm finally recovering from shingles.. although there are still hideous spots all over my right arm.. it wasn't going to stop me from training for the city 2 surf. Those of you who don't live in Sydney; it's a race from the CBD to Bondi Beach which totals to about 14km. I've been running on the tredmill for 10km everyday and hopefully that'll be enough to get me through.

I couldn't wait to try on my two new RVCA dresses so I tried to make do with what I had and fixed myself up and took photos that did not emphasize my right arm. Apologies for the dodgy poses but I was trying to hide the spots on my arms. Although you can still see some of it.. it's the best I could do.

My grandma and I have also been fishing around the house for my mums vintage Oroton and Pierre Cardin bags she had from 15 yrs back. They make quite a statement. I don't think you can find many bags like that these days and in such good quality leather. I've disaplayed them on hooks behind my doors so if I'm ever in a hurry I know I can't go wrong with these bags. Also found my mums great leather jacket that has awesome shoulder pads. The leather is just so soft that I can't stop touching it. Will be trying it out tonight in the city.

Currently waiting to go out for dinner with my best friend in the city and possibly go to the friday night markets in Chinatown; just another girls night out =).

Satisfaction

So I've finally gotten my new laptop. I'm so excited that I don't think I can describe how much I love it. My dad even got me the matching pink case for it.. Although I do kind of feel like a Barbie doll when I carry it around but that's ok. It's just so cute!

I've also finally finished switching rooms with my grandma and my room is looking pretty good. I'm so tired now though but I thought I'd share some of my hard work with you all.

if you guys ever get the chance. you must try this scented candle from Charlie Brown in coconut lime. it's just so good

and this is where I will be nerding it out for the next 4 months =) and I realise the photoframe has no pictures yet. I haven't had time to go get some printed but hopefully during the week I'll have time to.

After seeing that great erin wasson x RVCA floral dress on Rumi (fashiontoast) I just had to get it. I received it in the mail today. It's so comfy and I can't wait until summer so I can wear it. It's just too cold atm. I hate winter. =( For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about; I've posted a picture below.

This may make me sound a little blonde but I'm someone who is severely technically challenged when it comes to blogspot. I find that on some peoples blogs the comment box is as follows (in the picture below from http://buttons-ribbons.blogspot.com I hope Laura doesn't mind me using this as an example) I find that I can never leave any comments. I have no idea how to. When I click leave a comment it never goes through properly.

Can someone explain to this confused blogger how to fix this?

Nostalgia

My other half left today for Norway to visit his family and he's gone for 6 weeks so I'm left feeling a tad empty and in not much of a mood to do anything. I thought I'd bore everyone with a few pictures here and there that we have taken.

Fresh Start

I really need to get myself a SLR camera. I've been doing new things with my makeup and every time it comes out looking the same haha..

Not much to blog about atm as my mind seems to always be thinking about my studies and all and I have decided to continue my degree in Actuarial studies. After my long heart to heart with my family we have conclusively decided that I should move home and just see my boyfriend on weekends as it's too much of a distraction seeing as how demanding this god forsaken degree is.

I know I'll feel kind of weird not living with him anymore but it's for my future I guess. On the bright side of things... I think I will be getting the laptop that I wanted which is a bonus and hopefully getting a room make over which is even better.

I think I will join the bandwagon and start a shopfashioneuphoria soon as I have so much stuff sitting in my closet that I don't think I will ever wear again. Keep a look out!

I'm still pretty new at the fashion blogging stuff and haven't been in the mood as of late to do anything really but decided to get off my lazy ass today and go to the gym and train before heading out to the city with my bf and his best friend and hang with them in the casino. Met my bestie Bree afterwards and went to Oxford st and shopped at of course, the Makeup Store and splurged yet again on make up products. Like I can have enough right?

Afterwards we went and had dinner before heading to the night markets at Chinatown where I treated myself to a very unique new bracelet.
